A Bit of History We started in business in early 1998, developing from a large wholefood buying group we ran from our kitchen table. From the original buying group over 90% continue to get their wholefoods (and now vegetables from us), a couple now work part-time in the business and our new shop is located at another. In late 2001, we took the plunge and made it our sole source of income. Since then we've never worked harder, or had so much fun at work. We have learnt all about running a business, from accounts via buying delivery, packing to website design.

Other Bits We are certified by the Soil Association this allows us to pack our own label organic produce, we follow very strict guidlines and like all companies certified by the Soil Association are subject to an annual audit. Size We are a small family run company, we think this is a great strength, as we know our customers and it is not just a job to us.

Ethics We think there is an alternative way of working that helps you the customer and helps us. For example our local delivery customers collect their old packaging, bubble wrap etc which we use for our mail order service. This helps the environment, helps our customers and helps to keep our costs down. When ever possible we like to buy from local suppliers. We also like to stock fairly traded goods. When we started our business in 1998 we were delivering wholefoods locally to a set of regular customers (regular in more ways than one !) so we did not find a need to take charge cards, plastic etc. Our first mail order customers seemed so nice on the phone we decided to trust them and send the goods asking that our customer send us a cheque when they got their goods.
